While we're on the topic. I'd like to run this by the experienced users out there.

It's happened to me quite a few times now, that my c500 has crashed whilst running programs and it's even managed to restart itself without me even touching it - phone was on the desk and next time I picked it up it had hard reset and gone back to defaults.

So... does anyone know what causes the problem? +

1. When it does get stuck in that loop of startup & hang, is there another way without performing a hard reset and losing everything?

2. From my experience the hard reset also makes it revert back to being partly software locked - meaning I have to go back to the orange developer site and unlock again to run some apps.

Is there a way to permenantly unlock?

Any comments/ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

The partial reset usually happens when the battery or phone memory gets too low. Phone memory can be used up by too many ringtones / skins being stored or by installing software to main memory rather than storage card.

Cheers for the tip Stu

I maybe had too many rings and skins on the phone.

Another question though, is there an easy key combination or something to quit apps, as quite a few seem to stay open - I may be doing something stupid here - what I've been doing is going into the task manager for which I've set up a speed dial and quitting unused apps now and again to 'flush' the memory.

Thanks again
