Pretty much as the title, jut got my mits on an Imate JAM, I have never had a PPC before so what are the best and must have apps for it :?:

Also is there any battery monitor today screen plugins that don't cost $20. Shame this isn't included really, but a small gripe for an amazing machine :lol:

Microsoft Voice Command.... If you can find ANYWHERE in the UK that sells it... :evil:

There's a lot of freeware about but my first recommendation would be SPB's PocketPLus2 which is a battery / system monitor etc. The device comes complete with decent Task Manager & File Explorer so the rest depends on what you want to do.

For games, Virtual Pool Mobile & Flux Challenge are essential.

...I agree with voice commander...Chaser81 - you still haven't told me where you got it in the UK...

...also, I use eXperience as my desktop/homescreen ans mobidial as the phone replacement...

...then I have Pocket Streets to get around, AvantGo for the news, Pocket Informant for my PIM...

@Tigernet

I was quite lucky. My mate who has an XDA IIs really wanted this program as well, and luckily he has family in the states, so he got them to buy him a Handango gift voucher using their US address and credit card, then he paypal'ed them the money to pay them back. Using the gift voucher, we were able to get two copies of it! Its a work-around, not ideal, but it worked and I now have a full copy of Voice Command!

The weird thing is that another friend of mine, again with an XDAIIs (will the fools never understand? :cheesy: ) actually phoned Microsoft and asked if it was available in the UK and was told by them that you can buy it in shops!! Anyone actually seen it?

Cheers

They bought the gift voucher with their card and address and then gave the gift voucher code to my mate who bought the program.

If you use any instant messenging other than MSN, then Agile Messenger is quite handy, and it's free.

2 apps I couldn't live without is Launcher, an app that allows you to put shortcuts on your home screen and PocketNav, a task-killing app. Both are free from www.scottandmichelle.net

I have just installed 'Launcher' and think its great!

Do you know though if it is possible not only to put program links but also ones to settings? I ask as I am keen to have a link on my Today screen to the 'Memory' settings so that I can quickly stop my M2000 from running tasks in the background.

Any help appreciated,

Barry
