Guest tudor Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 (edited) I'm trying to get Windows Media Player 10 to sync with my storage card on the C500 and it fails to convert the tracks. Here's what I did: 1. Ripped MP3s using Media Player 10, with no copy protection, at 196kbps. 2. Set in the "Storage Card" properties the quality level to 64kbps. 3. Dragged the files to the left panel of the sync tab in Media Player 10. 4. Chose a folder on the storage card to sync with 5. Clicked "Start Sync". It shows "Converting (0%)" for the first song and it stays like this forever. I managed to do this on my computer at work and it works fine - same software installed - so I have no idea what the difference could be. There is a process launched when I click "Start Sync" (wmpenc.exe - the encoder by the name) which starts to claim more and more memory (at some point it got 130MB !!! before I killed it) and lots of CPU effort (>80%). Does anyone know the cause / fix for this behaviour? Edited February 7, 2005 by tudor
