Guest diamond187 Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 I've recently gotten an Audiovox SMT5600 [HTC Typhoon/C500/etc], that runs 2003SE with WMP10 and a 512Mb minisd. I've been trying to get a program to work to get the ringtones to ring from the SD card, but I havent had any luck with anythign so far. I've tried Changer Sonneries, as well as SmartTones, and both will not let me browse the the SD card location of the ringtones. From different searches it seems that others are having the same problem with this, and I was wondering since most of the posts are old if there are any utilities that work with the 2003 besides a manual reg edit. Anyone know of any? So far, I've had little luck with most apps on this phone, Thermo doesnt read temp (red bar all the way up), TinyGPS doesn't real any locations [probably cingular not naming towers], and many games don't seem to have an 'options to map keys since the phone's "enter" key is something that you can't really hit easily. Any help would be appreciated, this phone seems to be great if I can get past some of these hurdles! Diamond
Guest mavisdavis Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 (edited) Hi and welcome to the site, Ringtones can be placed in /Stroge card but not in a folder tho as the phone will not find them. If you wish to assign custom ringtones for conacts then you need to put them in /Stoarge/Application Data/Home/Sounds It'll play .wavs for all alerts but only .wma for ringtones. I cant help you with the temp app as I have''t used it yet. Edited February 7, 2005 by mavisdavis

(of course, making the phone smart enough to be able to ask where ringtones are located must be for smartphone 2005. ) Diamond
