Guest DrG Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 (edited) Hi after a morning of searching through the archives i cant find a definitive answer. I have my Jabra BT 250 Bluetooth Headset connected to the phone im also using the registry hack found in the archives to manually select the headset profile, the problem i have is that although i am in headset mode and the auto answer function is set to auto answer in 4 seconds (i have tried the others but same results), the phone once ringing does NOT auto answer and just continues to ring as if in normal profile. Is this a BUG or is there a simple setting im missing? Alternativly i have tried the auto answer function of the headset on a nokia 6600 and it works fine so i have ruled out the headset... Even a FIX would be nice  Cheers DrG Edited February 7, 2005 by DrG
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 I presume you mean the task manager hack so you can use your headset for music etc? Try the headset without the hack and see what happens.
Guest DrG Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 (edited) Sorry, no not the task manager hack, let me clarify.... Its the NIGHTMARE (manually choose the headphone profile) hack... http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=auto+answer Which would mean that the other problem would be "how can i select this profile for my bluetooth heaset?", well that is easy, go into the registry, under user, contral panel, profiles, headset and deleate the thing that says autoonly (or something like that, sorry i cant be more exact but i dont have the phone in front of me) than reboot the phone and you can select the profile. i have really only used this hack to manually turn it into headset mode to see if i can force it to auto answer a call, but still no joy. I have read in a few post that the auto answer part of the profile is currupt, is this so? Also i have tried it without the hack (many times before finding the NIGHTMARE hack), but it does not turn into headset mode when you connect/use the bluetooth headset. All i want to be able to do is get the headset to auto answer like any normal headset so i can achieve a completly "handsfree" operation... cheers Edited February 8, 2005 by DrG
