Guest ShaneBoyd Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 That was a pretty good game. I was just glad it was a close one, so that it stayed interesting the whole time.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 I thought the game was great. the last 2 minutes sucked. With Philadelphia being my hometown, I wasnt happy with the outcome nor their lack of enthusiasm in the final minutes...but they made it there and played a great game none the less. TO was great. McNabb has played much better as has their defense. But there's always next year!
Guest amo Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 This is the first time i've stayed awake and been determined enough to watch all of the Superbowl. What a game! Not much of a "soccer" fan anymore but I must admit I enjoyed this just as much as I used to enjoy good ol' football back in the day. None of the whole racism or rioting issues either! Can't wait till Superbowl 40!
Guest ShaneBoyd Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 I was surprised at how poorly the Eagles fared in the last few minutes. You would have though they at least would have been able to put together a drive, but they didn't.
Guest ShaneBoyd Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 My favorites were the careerbuilder.com ones with all the monkeys and the the P. Diddy one with the Diet Pepsi truck. Which ones did you all like?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 I like the guy holding the bloody cat and knife when his wife walked in. And also the spoof on the diet coke commercial that ends with the "queer eye" guy looking at the dude. Unexpectedly funny.
Guest ShaneBoyd Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I like the guy holding the bloody cat and knife when his wife walked in. And also the spoof on the diet coke commercial that ends with the "queer eye" guy looking at the dude. Unexpectedly funny. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had forgotten about both of those, but they were indeed quite funny. It's always neat to see them on after the Super Bowl as well.
Guest Imacellphone Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 The bloody cat was ridiculously funny....i was laughing so hard at that....the emerald nuts commercial was pretty fantastic too. "If you eat an emerald nut, all the unicorns will disappear."
Guest SeaneyC Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 (edited) Were we watching the same game? I thought it was really dull for the first half, and just as it had the change to be exciting (last quarter all out carnage) it just wasn't. I haven't had a chance to watch much NFL this year due to work etc.. but i also thought the ITV coverage of the game was just horrendous. Sending a Great British rower to interview the football fans in Jacksonville? Interviews at a "celeb" superbowl party at a nightclub, where one of the people interviewed asked what it was? Please ITV, something better next year PLEASE. Not to mention 1 hour a week counting as "coverage" of the play offs. What a complete waste of time and money. Touch wood, at least their rally coverage seems to be improving a tiny bit, although it couldn't have got much worse. I wish i actually had the American TV coverage for once  RaaahhhHH!!!!!! /rant over Edited February 15, 2005 by SeaneyC
Guest Imacellphone Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 I can feel your pain....at least with American coverage you have the best announcers and American commercials.....the only day they're good is on super sunday.
Guest bbb678 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 I loved all the careerbuilder.com commericials but i didnt think there commercials were as good as usual
Guest bbb678 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Check out this commericial that they did not air. I think that it would have been hilarious: >> http://www.big-boys.com/articles/bannedsuperbowl.html
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 That's funny! Great spoof on last year's Superbowl excitement. There was a funny commercial, I forget what it was for, that was a hot girl talking before a congressional decency hearing about what she planned to do in a commercial, Then proceeded to do a little stripper dance.
Guest ShaneBoyd Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 GoDaddy.com That's the hot girl commercial. There was supposed to be a followup ad, but they wouldn't let them show it.
Guest bbb678 Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 I would love to see it if you can find it.
