Guest James Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 This has has to one of the most innovative programs for SmartPhone ever! even though maybe not that useful... Its a Motion detector that uses the image from the camera to determin if anything has changed! not of api in net but the hack found on a wiki of opennetcf to use the software D ia camera After iBaby, geideon which does not miss imagination and of talent, gives cover with iSpy. This last software is a detector of movement using the numerical camera integrated into the smartphone, iSpy takes with regular interval a photograph and compares it with the preceding one. If the difference is too large, a siren resounds... This software without claim (like its author says it) is opened with the evolution, geideon thus is opened with the suggetsions and critical posted on the forum. iSpy 1.0 is a free software and in French for ms Smartphone 2003 only because of use of Microsoft.NET technology. Guest mavisdavis Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 This is cool little application
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 It's quite neat, if a little bit specialised. Not sure I can think of any uses for it at the moment. The Symbian app which does largely the same thing lets you send an MMS when the image changes, I think it was intended to be a cheap security camera sort of thing. Symbian S60 apps are a good source of ideas, and there are loads out there to inspire people, but I'd like to see the really useful/preactical apps ported - things like PhoneSecure. Of course I say that not even having started my first Smartphone app yet
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Tried this out and nothing happens when I move the camera. Anyone else got it working.
Guest pierre Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Tried this out and nothing happens when I move the camera. Anyone else got it working. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So if I leave it on my desk, an alarm will sound if someone pass by at night. But then how will I know, given this someone might as well steal the phone with the snapshots, right?
Guest James Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Could have more potential such as in a game... move the phone to move the background or even aim a gun? who knows!
Guest TigerNet Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 ...like Siemens Mozzies....yes please!!!
Guest markhammill Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 I'd like an option to save the pictures instead of deleting them.
Guest lumatrix Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Hi Folks, I dreamed up a use for this long ago. What is needed is an email notification option for the program and then it could be used as a car security device. That is it emails you a photo of the car thief ! lumatrix
