Guest Chaser81 Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Just had a weird thing happen on my Jam where it point blank refused to change input methods from keyboard to Phone pad. Tried it a dozen times and it would not do it, so in the end I did a soft reset and carried on without further issue. It occured to me, however, that this is not the first "minor annoyance" I have experienced; the most common being the device soft resetting itself after I have initiated a soft reset, doubing the amount of time I have to wait to resume using it. Every device has bugs, most not being serious, but I was curious to see what issues (if any) you guys have had with your Jams. Post away fellas, no matter how trivial the issue (and please no "my jam is perfect, its never crashed or nuffin", you know its happened AT LEAST ONCE  )
Guest mike-oh Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Mine's not crashed yet! But then again it's still in the post! hehehe unless it has some vehicular accident! (touch wood)
Guest TigerNet Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 and please no "my jam is perfect, its never crashed or nuffin", you know its happened AT LEAST ONCE ...but honest...it hasn't crashed once...I just wont let it drive!!!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 I've fixed the 'phone pad not appearing' by doing some memory optimisation, primarily rebooting before the extended rom installs, and installing manually only the CABs I want. Sorted. Not had any other problems really, other than an occasional 'direction pad doesn't work until a soft reset'... P
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 other than an occasional 'direction pad doesn't work until a soft reset'... P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Phew, thought that was just mine as a result of me spilling beer on it....

Sorted. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds like a good idea. What cabs are needed? Guess I will back up all my 'cant live without' data and proceed to playing with the Jam to make it as best as possible
Guest mike-oh Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 here's a bug. when dialing a number and you realise you've made a mistake it takes too long to delete the previous digit! mike
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Yeah the tmobile dialing software does seem to be a bit unresponsive....
Guest MitchellO Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Not really a bug, but I have a dead pixel :'( Other than that, I find that after a while my today screen gets scrambled or something. IT wont display properly and i have to soft reset.
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Yeah, I have that too sometimes.. Also, when I do a soft reset, the device will sometimes soft reset itself straight after!!
