Guest robertperalta Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Hello everyone, I get the error below when I click on the plugin for Window Media Player. I'm using Ruttensoft's Homescreen Designer and the plugin was installed successfully. I have posted this at the Ruttensoft's forums but they said they have only tested in for Smartphone 2002. I have un-installed and re-installed but the same results. Please help! ERROR: Can't find ':MSWMPLAYER' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the requiered libraries are available. Phone: Audiovox SMT5600 Smartphone 2003 SE Media Player 10 Thanks, Robert

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Kindly verify if you have the following values: 1) Using a registry editor, open HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:WMPLAYER\2 Value = wmplayer.exe 2) Your 'WMPlayer' shortcut (LNK) on \Storage\windows\Start Menu\ do have the following value: 19#\Windows\wmplayer.exe For #2, you can check the path by transfering the LNK from phone to PC then open the LNK in Notepad. Also, I noticed that you have :MSWMPlayer ?? On my phone it is :WMPLAYER ;)
