Phone Issues (The last one hurts really)

Hi, I'm member of this forum for a while but I didn't posted anything else before this.

I'm from Brazil and my mobile operator is TIM (www.tim.com.br)

I got this nice and very expensive (for brazilian people) phone.

My cell phone is about 1 1/2 month old.

MPx220. for about 850USD.

It's the best phone in Brazil.

When I got it from the store.. damn. I was in love. but on the first day.

I got the first Issue.

No one can hear me talking. (they very very low if you turn on the speaker mode)

4 day later I decide to take some picture on the beach..

Guess what? no pictures (bluetooth was on).

then I found this forum and saw the issues.

You can't take picture with bluetooth on. :/

The camera isn't 1.2mp. we all know that.

If that wasn't the enough I took the phone to the store and ask for another one working (knowing that this is a MPx220 Firmware Issue)

They said: "Your phone has 1 Year of warranty and a 7 day phone change"

well.. my 7 days was over.

Now few days ago (3 i'm guess) I went to my sister's house to sleep there.

I took a look at the cell phone and the battery was almost over.

I put it to charge. then I went to get some sleep.

When i wake up SURPRISE.. the battery isn't full charged.

I said.. "What the f..." and unplugged the phone from the charger and went to my job.

On My job my batery was almost over again then I connected the charger.. and Guess what ? Nothing happens.

Yes.. The phone recuse's to charge.

I got another charger.. same problem

Tested my charger on a Motorola HS 810 Headphone and it was working

i tryed to connect it to the computer..

the computer don't even reconize the phone anymore.

now the battery is over. i'm without a phone. (i need the phone to work)

and guess what. it's holyday here in brazil (carnival)

Thing will start to work only wednesday after 11am

I will take my phone to the Motorola and tell everything that happen to the phone.

If i would buy another motorola phone ?

Hm.. Never.. I don't think that they made a good job selling a very expensive phone with too much problems.

That's what i have to say. If you know how to fix my phone please help me!

(I tryed the master reset and didn't worked.)

Mate, you got an early version of firmware - that's the issue. It's a shame that firmware ever got released because it certainly shouldn't have - it's development software as far as I am concerned ...

I've tried much later versions, and those have lesser issues, and STILL I wouldn't consider it release software - so I think we can all empathise how much stress you are having.

However, you are having an unusual ( i.e. not mainstream ) handset - in addition, you are effectively an early adopter - so you have to expect some problems - but they shouldn't be this bad.

Your options are obviously to take it to a moto service centre and get it flashed, or to download the Cingular software from the moto site and upload it yourself - being as moto suggest it's only for cinglular customers ( and user tests have proved inconclusive as to whether it works on other networks ), I would suggest the service centre is the best option

Don't despair, get flashed up to something like 1.30.00 and you should be fine - sounds like you have the 0.3xx software

I've got this software to update the phone

but I'm having that charging issue .. so i can't even turn on the phone.

no battery :lol:

I have the same charging issue! I have the 1.3 software, and 2 months after getting the 220, today it wont charge or connect to the computer. What was your solution?? HELP!!

My phone right now is on the moto for repair.

Well. It's 2 weeks now without a Phone.

Moto Said: "We don't have repair board's for your phone.

So you have to wait more 7 bussines day 'til we bring you a new phone."

So the solution to your phone as Motorola Brazil said to me is to replace one of logical board's.

So.. Good Luck.. you will need it.

Tomorrow I will sue Motorola. 'Cuz i need the phone to work and i'm losing money due their stupidness.

Well. guess that this only happens here in Brazil.

I can't wait to go back to Italy.

And my friend.. sorry. you lost everything on your phone.. at least here in Brazil they made me sing a contract telling that they don't care about your phone book, ring tones, games or anything else.

I did a very nice complain at Moto about:

People can't hear me.

Camera Sucks a lot (even my friends V600 take better pictures then me)

The phone is VERRYYY SLOW sometimes.

Can't take pictures with BT on.
