im new and this might seem silly im trying to send a pic via infrared

i select the the pic select infrared put it against the other phone and the screen goes back to my options menu :cry: anybody no why thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Not 100% sure I know what you're up to, so apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, OK? Firstly, assuming you're using the included "File Manager", place the selector over the file to be sent, then select Menu, 5 Send, 2 Send Via Infa-Red. Now it should just be a case of align the IR ports for a while (IR is slow!) and it should send it automatically. If it doesn't go, chances are the recipient is blocking it - some phones won't accept some things being IR'ed over.

Personally, I don't touch the included file manager with a barge-pole! I've always used SmartExplorer from

Binarys website

It's much more user-friendly, much more powerful, and I've heard that the included file manager has some issues with sending by BlueTooth - SmartExplorer is fine with this. Seriously, even if you're happy with File Manager, give SmartExplorer a shot for a couple of days. You won't go back.

Hi, I have had exactly the same problems when transfering files via infrared.

I don't know what causes the problem as I can send a few files without problems but the next one will take me back to the phone menu.

If anyone knows a way to stop this, please let us know.
