Guest bas Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 Hello, According to the user manual of the Qtek 8010 you should be able to reset this Smartphone by shutting it down and then pressing the on/off button+the left soft button+the right soft button (the first two buttons below the diplay) at the same time. But this doesn't work. The 8010 just starts and asks for the pincode of my provider's simcard. Is there a solution for this problem? Regards, Bas

Only my fingers are pretty blue now because of pressing the "soft" buttons. I'll try it again later or let my wife try it, because maybe me fingers are too big? Regards, Bas
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 It's more likely to be the timing..
Guest bas Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 OK, finally it works: Key is to shutdown the Qtek 8010 first... My other Smartphones are a Motorola MPx200 and a MPx220. You reset these Smartphones when there turned on, not turned off... After shutting down the Qtek 8010 you press the two soft buttons below the screen, then press the on/off button for 1 or 2 seconds and keep your fingers on the two soft buttons untill the question appears: Press 0 to restore factory defaults, Other keys to quit. Regards, Bas
