Guest WWWeed Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 (edited) I have decided to get a new smartphone for myself. I cant seem to decide between the Motorola A1000 or the orange SPV M2000??? Now I am seriously thinking about getting the SPV for the Wifi alone, but I rember the very first SPV that came out (I was unlucky enough to have one) They used to crash on me when I got called, froze up a 100 times a day. Are the SPVs still like that or is that all sorted?? Any help will be greatly aprechiated....... [edit} heres some links to the phones Motorola A1000 http://www.symbian.com/phones/mot_a1000.html SPV M2000 http://www.dynamoo.com/moobiles/orange-spv-m2000.shtml Edited February 9, 2005 by WWWeed
Guest Tunney Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 The A1000 is only available on 3 at the moment. 3 don't allow you to surf the internet from their network. Even if the A1000 was the best phone in the world, that's reason enough not to get it IMO. The M2000 runs Pocket PC rather than the Smartphone operating system that your original SPV ran. It isn't the perfect phone operating system, IMO, but it'll be a lot more stable than your old phone.

So I can install Apps & games(like with the first gen SPV) if I got it on contract with orange??
