Guest Pondrew Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 I'm sorry to say that whenever I've had this problem (with the E200 not the C500) I've usually had to hard reset. You may find that it resolves itself for a while but the problem came back for me... No idea what causes it but I know that neither desktop nor Smartphone activesync offers any kind of solution, nor even an explanation of what could be wrong.
Guest scott2eyes Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 Whenever I've had problems, I've found that swapping the USB port you're using sometimes clears it.
Guest Rapier Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 (edited) it happens to me also... More than that, it locks up the Outlook so that I cannot read my mails anymore. The only way to solve it was to make the following steps: 1. Disconnect the phone from USB cable. 2. On PC, open Task Manager and kill the "wcescomm.exe" (that's ActiveSync) and Outlook processes. 3. Start again the ActiveSync application on the PC. 4. Connect the phone to the USB cable. Now the synchronisation should work. 5. If 4. doesn't work directly, restart your phone first (or kill the ActiveSync process from your phone using a task manager installed on it) than connect it to USB. Though this is frustrating to do it every time it happens (to me it happens every time when I disconnect the phone from USB and then connect it again). If someone has a better way to do it, maybe for good, please post it. I have also some feelings that is related to the latest version of ActiveSync (3.8). I remeber the problem didn't appear so often with the previous version. Maybe I'll "downgrade" to see what's happening. Edited February 20, 2005 by Rapier
