Guest vicv Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Hi i see that quite a few people have had trouble with dust ingress beneath screen. i too had rejection from orange ("we pride ourselves on customer service") a second call, reporting the problem as missing pixels did the trick. It is after all a valid description of the problem. hope this helps other frustrated users ](*,)

Guest vicv Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 (edited) How many dead pixels do you need for it to be faulty? ps. scottishdave, i like you avatar  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi avb, The number of 'dead pixels' was not questioned, however I'm sure that if you said something like 'quite a few' or 'a significant amount' it would be enough. I suspect that 1 or 2 missing pixels would not qualify. The effect with dust under screen is actually simular to 10 - 20 pixel loss. hope this helps you avb vic :( Edited February 16, 2005 by vicv
Guest Arktouros Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 I was reading somewere (can't remember were though) that orange had done something about the dust under the screen, changed the screen or something. I think i have the same problem with you guys (not really sure thought have to take the screen protector out to make sure... ). Did the dead pixesls trick worked for everybody? Cheers
Guest smith2001 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 i had dust on my first c500, i also read this forum and orange CD apparent love to say no to a dust issue, so as i had 3 dead pixels i noted them as the main issue, i am now on my 3rd c500 and this 1 is suffering very badly from dust, i might just make up another manufacturing problem so to get this 1 change when it gets too bad. after all i do pay for orange care.
