Guest Nicholasjh Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Apologies if this has been covered already, I obviously haven't looked hard enough. I've had a C500 since November last year. Besides a few bugbears of it being overly complicated, circuitous routes to do simple tasks, can't find the alarm clock, no indication of waiting SMS/missed calls once the screen goes off, and other niggles, I have a big problem with this crashing. I haven't installed any additional software, and keep but a few photographs on the card. It happens about once a week, sometimes more often and is particularly annoying when it locks as a call is coming in. I can't turn it off and have to remove both battery and SIM card to reset it. Should this phone go back to Orange or is it a common problem that can be rectified? I know the SPV is windows-based, but really, how hard can it be to write a simple bit of software for a phone given what Microsoft is coming up with these days?
Guest jporch316 Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Had mine for a month - had my mpx 200 (smartphone 2002) for 12 months - it crashed and locked twice in 12 months - c500 yet to crash - I think you need to call in your warranty
Guest celica1.8st Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Just incase you are still after the alarm clock: 1. Press Start 2. Go to Settings 3. Go to More 4. Go to Date and Time 5. and then set it in there If you haven't messed with the menus you can press: start, 4, 9, 3 then set the alarm
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 You should definitely get that replaced. The C500 is normally very stable and problems only usually occur if you allow the battery level to get too low or use up the phone memory with ringtones & homescreens.
