I'm trying to install a homepage that requires a plugin. How the hell do I do this?

I've copied the file that looks like a zip file but has .cab at the end and tried to execute it on my phone.....no go. :?:

Usually you would install the cab for the plugin first, then the cab / hme for the skin.

Which skin are you trying to install, where did you get it from, what error messages / problems are you getting ?

More info please !

Trying to install this...

TechNet-MSDN Clock

Not sure where to put files or how to execute them.

there is a "how to" link. I've followed this but without any joy. I can't remember the error message.

Nice looking skin - good choice

The instructions are at the top of the page :

"Note: Below homeskins are either in .hme or .cab format. To install, paste the file in IPSM\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories (via Active Sync). On your phone, click Programs > Accessories, select and click the skin to install. Select Phone as destination unless specified that can be installed in Storage Card. "

In this case, both the skin and the plugin are cab files. Download both to your PC then connect phone to PC with ActiveSync. Don't try to unzip them. If you have a 2003 OS phone you won't have the IPSM folder beacuse it's now called Storage. Follow instructions as above, copying across both cabs to the same place. Install RJTime first then the skin. Now reboot the phone and you're done. If the clock doesn't appear reboot again until it does.

Your phone will need to be application unlocked first of course.
