New smartphones Vs V800

I am just thinking about switching networks over to Vodaphone 3g service. I kind of intend to get a V800 to replace to my E200, the C500 is just not good enough as a replacement. If it had a better Camera I might have been persuaded.

To be honest I have had enough of GPRS after the last few years, I feel I need something faster. I would rather fiddle with pass through and get faster speed through some sort of bluetooth internet connection sharing, from the V800 on 3g to my XDA2 or my E200(as if i'll ever get that going! Im fooling myself)

I have been thinking about what to do for ages, seeing the V800 in the Vodaphone shop earlier has almost made my mind up. I just need to see some real user reviews first......

When am I going to get a Windows device with the things I really want this year? That being:

Mega pixle camera

Camera light

3g?

The V800 has a Memory stick slot (up to 1 gig) and I will be able to stick all my mp3's on it and vids as well in 3gp (errr h263 or whatever it is) I,m not too sure what that be like when comparing it to Divx on Beta player.....(maybe s**t in comparison, I cannot fault beta player)

I have yet to see any windows mobile based Smartphone (pocket sized) that has turned me away from the new V800.

Is it possible there is someone here who can rain on my parade and bring back my need for a windows device??

I have waited for 3 months for Orange to get me a M2000, I had a play with one the other day, the screen seems much clearer an nicer, I was very impressed with its keyboard and the owner gave me some good stories about his WIFI fun in coffee shops. I though it was great, I put my SD card in from my E200 and player a few games (duke nukem-Thanks Roozbeh!!!!) etc. I was happy with it, it was fast and looked much nicer than my XDAII. If Orange had sent it to me back in Jan then I would not even be searching for a new device. Thay have been F'in me about sooo much that I have lost all hope of seeing one soon. Its like they dont want me to upgrade for another year, I have been out of contract for ages.

So I could.....:

1/. Wait for maybe more months for a M2000.

2. Go get a V800 tomorrow and maybe be unhappy with its versatility but have good camera, tunes and super fast surfing?

Anyone else stuck in this situation?? Or have I just been blinded by the nice young lady in the shop who showed me the V800??

I've had a play with the v800 in a voda shop, its a nice enough device, just a little boring in terms of expandability. Also, my understanding was that you could only view Vodaphone Live and no other sites on their 3G network. No idea if you can use it as a BT 3g modem...?

I'd check the Mem Stick slot if I was you

It's MS Duo, not MS Duo Pro, so you might be stuck with 128Mb like the P800/P900 were
