Guest Ohayden Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 I have a couple of customers complaining about installing on a Sumsung i600. They both say that the phone says something about not having adequate system permission. The only registry keys I'm accessing are in the HKCU. Is the i600 locked down that tight? I thought un-signed apps could be installed on the i600 without any problems. I suggested that the customer install these patches from Samsung: http://www.samsungtelecom.com/support/mit/ One of them said that already had those patches. Any ideas? Guest Ohayden Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Just in case someone else runs into the issue. We tracked the issue down to the cab file. We were trying to add a registry entry into HKCU and the i600 doesn't want us to since we are not a signed app. We changed the code to not need the registry entry and removed it from the cab's inf file. Now all works well. Hayden Owens, http://www.atechware.com
