i know windows media player 10 on that audiovox phone can play protected content and allegedly you can't do it with 9 but there has to be some way around this. this is what i get for having ever paid for music. any takers?

I suppose that if you're desperate, you can always re-encode it by converting it through a WAV file (whether directly or through a CD).

Yeah, burn it to a CD, and then use something like Sound Forge to extract and then make it an MP3 or something...

I bought music from the MSN music store through Windows Media Player 10 on the computer and sent the to my MPx 220 ( which has Media Player 9) I did this transfer via the sync tab in WM10 on the computer it installed a licence with the music and it plays fine!

how do you sync MPx220 with WM10 even though the phone has only WM9? When I click on the sync tab it says "no device has been detected," even though I have the phone connected through ActiveSync?

wow. i'm buying you a pony. did that... works out LOVELY. only downside is that it doesn't seem to work in betaplayer so no metallica playlist for me. works like a champ in media player though. and as far as i can tell, the same license works for all the mettallica albums i have so i don't have to do that for all of them. i can just use drag and drop the rest onto the mini sd. thanks a ton
