Guest henrich Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Does anyone know of an app out there that will softboot Smartphone 2003? Or even better, ideally, switch the phone to flight mdoe, soft boot it, then switch flight mode off? (US Carrier Cingular's Smartphone's when in flight mode appear to not run a bunch of normal startup code that overlays network selection, so once you reboot in this manner, the phone can select manual network mode and shows all networks available. Very handy, but a pain to do!). Thanks in advance!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Im using rcraswell's QuickReset app.
Guest cyberhorse Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Autoflight V2.1.2 is your best option. You can download it from page: http://www.anycities.com/user/inputshow
Guest markgamber Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Autoflight V2.1.2 is your best option. You can download it from page: http://www.anycities.com/user/inputshow <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You might want to check that site, I'm getting a trojan (Downloader-QR in a js file file, to be exact) every time it comes up. You're not going to win many friends with that.
Guest cyberhorse Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Thanks for Markgamber to prompt me. I am sorry. My home page is free hosting page on anycities.com. It is inserted ads frame with .js file by server automatically. Otherwise, the counter at bottom of the page is also free counter from another server and it popup ads automatically. I don't know which of them (or both?) was transmitting virus. I have removed free counter to test. BTW, the virus from this page can not be detected by myself although i installed Ad_Aware and MS AntiSpyware. So, can you help me to test it again. Thank you advance.

Thank you advance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ad Aware and MS AntiSpyware are good at what they do (BTW, MS just announced that the AntiSpyware app would be released as free software....yay!) but they're not antivirus programs, viruses being something different than spyware. Not to say spyware isn't just as bad, if not worse, but they are different and those programs aren't designed to catch viruses. At any rate, the problem seems to have disappeared with the counter so that must have been the culprit. Unfortunately, the antivirus program deleted the file when it came in so I can't tell you what it did, exactly, but it triggered a warning every time and it was sneaky, not appearing until about 30 seconds after the page had loaded, so I took the threat seriously. Thanks a bunch for your interest and eliminating the problem!
Guest aadadams Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Does Autoflight support rebooting or just shutdown?

Guest cyberhorse Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Does Autoflight support rebooting or just shutdown? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> just shutdown, not rebooting. But I intend to add rebooting function in version 3.0.
