Guest pietta Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 i was reading a review on windows mobile 2003 and saw some screenshots that look rather nice. how can i get the same for my spv c500. my menu looks bolder and bigger
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 You could change the font to whatever you like. Thread here : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=105530 Is that not just the standard without ClearType ?
Guest pietta Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 on that screenshot cleartype is enabed but the font looks thinner
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Anyone knows what font typeface name was used there? It looks clean. EDIT: ArialNarrow ?
Guest pietta Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 id say it looks the same as the default font 'nina' with bold removed. it looks nice and clean though
Guest nickustinov Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 id say it looks the same as the default font 'nina' with bold removed. it looks nice and clean though <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've digged all the registry, there is no way to decrease font size in start menu, so the only way is to substitute the font. Again, same question - anyone with ideas what font is it? (not arial narrow, tried it) Nick
Guest chrisc28 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Smartphones with the Chinese ROM has this "thin" Nina font. I personally hated it as my MPx220 comes with this font. I had to change the font to Nina Bold to make it more legible. It's more to do with the encoding since I tried copying the Nina font from my e200 and it still displays the same.
Guest nickustinov Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Can you send it to me? Cause I like it :D
Guest chrisc28 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Can you send it to me? Cause I like it :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like I said, it's the same Nina font. It won't make a difference afaik. I tested the e200 font on my phone and it still displays like that. I'm using Nina Bold to compensate for the "thin" effect.
Guest ElGato65 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 I would say that IS Arial Narrow without being bold.
Guest ElGato65 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 id say it looks the same as the default font 'nina' with bold removed. it looks nice and clean though <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On closer inspection, I'd say you were correct. The "g" gives it away.
