Guest MotoMaster Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 What programs do you use for converting video files for the Motorola mpx200 or any other Smartphone? What is the best one with you can easily get good video and a good file size? And what is the best video viewer application for the phone? All answers are greatly appreciated!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 For viewing applications try BetaPlayer (as mentioned in your other post) As for encoding for your phone have a look in the FAQ and the Articles sections of the site there are some good guides and also applications you can use.
Guest peekie Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I use windows movie maker ( free with xp ) with the setting for pocket pc this makes nice movies that play on the smartphone  :( :D
Guest Samsonite Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I dont think you can beat BetaPlayer IMO... I'verspent the last few days converting my entire DVD collection into PPC and Smartphone format.. Its been a bit hit and miss with some of the optimum settings but for media playback, BetaPlayer everytime! As for video coding? PocketDivx is the cream of the crop...
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Same here, BetaPlayer and PocketDivXEncoder (do a search for information on recommended settings) beat all the rest.
Guest ronny Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 BetaPlayer and SmartMovie video converter by Lonely Cats Games. it converts vcd and dvd movies fast.
