Guest rekall Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Since applying the 4.1.1.4 update to my C500 my battery life has dropped significantly (from about 5 days to under 2). I want to put the original 4.1.1.0 rom back on - any idea where I can find it? Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 As the original ROM was already on the phone there was no need to make it available for download.
Guest tudor Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I suggest to try to flash again the 4.1.1.4 ROM - maybe there was an error when you did it last time. Make sure to have the battery fully charged when flashing it. I have flashed mine ages ago and there was no decrease in battery life.
Guest tsutton Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Since applying the 4.1.1.4 update to my C500 my battery life has dropped significantly (from about 5 days to under 2). I want to put the original 4.1.1.0 rom back on - any idea where I can find it? Thanks Run the battery all the way to FLAT, to the point where the phone turns off itself due to flat battery. Then charge it up properly. It should be back to normal.
Guest rekall Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Thanks for the replies but I rang Orange and they sent me a new handset - not bad considering mine was suffering the dust problem as well. So have a nice new C500 with battery performing well.
Guest xenophobe Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Run the battery all the way to FLAT, to the point where the phone turns off itself due to flat battery. Then charge it up properly. It should be back to normal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't do that to a lithium ion battery. With Ni-Mh and Ni-Cad, yes, that will help, but fully discharging Li-ion batteries can cause permanent damage to them.
Guest Confused Stu Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I know I've read elsewhere that running a Li-ion battery flat will hurt it. Am I right in thinking that the SPV's habit of turning itself off when the battery gets too low should stop the battery getting to this dodgy stage? Just want to make sure that the occasions I don't get it to a power supply in time isn't going to hurt Little Stuie!
Guest Confucious Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Little Stuie! OMG no wonder you're confused
Guest Confused Stu Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 HEY! If it's wrong to show affection for a cute little guy who's brought joy to my heart and that of so many others then I don't want to be right. Little Stuie has everything - jawbreaker for the other half, a selection of amusing short video clips to entertain the kids, several Clive Owen films (from BMWFilms.com) for the ladies, lots of music for when I need a walkman, a couple of films for when I'm waiting for the AA man, PC remote control for when a work colleague needs to do a Powerpoint in front of the boss, a selection of Megadrive and SNES games for my nostalgic brother, and several porn videos for all the blokes at work! What more could anyone want from their little buddy?
Guest Confused Stu Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Sorry, I'm digressing - AGAIN! No, I don't know where to download this particular ROM. Sorry.
