Guest Vrylakos Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I am waiting for a 1 GB miniSD card. Ideally, I'd like to put, say, the Iron Monkey or Justice League Unlimited on my phone. I know this is possible, but am not sure which programs are best, or what their various pros and cons are. Can anyone with more experience help? Vrylakos
Guest Vrylakos Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Whoops, I'm using a SMT5600 phone, by the way. Vrylakos
Guest martin Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 If you want an application that converts straight from the DVD then take a look at 'DVD to smartphone' or Pocket DVD software. http://www.makayama.com/dvdtosmartphone.html http://www.pocketdvd.ca You can also convert files yourself using various free programs. Here is a movie creation topic from the Articles section. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=116545 I personally use DVD Decrypter and PocketDivXEncoder to convert most things. And of course Betaplayer 0.5 to play them back on the Smartphone
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 You can also use the Smartphone templates and the Guide from http://forum.pocketmovies.net/viewtopic.php?t=977 And play the MPEG files with PocketTV Classic (freeware) or Betaplayer.
Guest Vrylakos Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Thank you both for your replies! If possible, could you answer the following: What size is the average movie in Smartphone form? 50MB? More? Less? Is there a difference in the file size or the playback quality from application to application, or do they basically come out the same size and quality? Thanks again. Vrylakos
