Guest madu Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I try to change the key in .ini file to KEY_XBAR=91 (using different delay times KEY_DELAY= from 0 to 500) and when I press and hold "Home" key nothing happens. It appears that the "Home" key is somehow system pre-programmed for short and long press. So if you press "Home" shortly, it takes you to homescreen, long press on "Home" key does nothing (not even homescreen). This is my #1 wish - to launch xBar by long "Home" key press.) Another question is why the : symbol in time in the title bar is after minutes, not hours? 12 59: Can it be made 12:59 in one line? Or maybe in 2 lines, but like this: 12: 59 Thanks! PS: xBar 2.5 is just too goood! Good work Xetra!
Guest ksts Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I've had exactly the same (in fact I couldn't assign xBar to any other other key except from the action key). Given that the action key is quite awkward, and the home key is a very nice big key, that would be a very usefull thing to do. Thinking about it, I would actually prefer using my Home key as an action key in all circumstances! Is there an application to let me remap my keys and switch around the Action and Home keys? Kostas
Guest spvdk Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Remapping is a problem, yes. Don't have an answer to that, but I can tell you that the two dots aren't part of the clock, but a meter showing how much of the memory is in use. The higher the 'bar' (more dots), the more memory is occupied.

I remapped XBAR key to 121 (VoiceRec) and cannot use Selection mode (long press on Vol- button). Why? Because when I made a selection and want to copy it, I need to press Action key that launches xBar (as it says in manual). But when I press action key it works as Enter key and replaces my selected text by going to next line. When I press record key, it does not work.... Help!
Guest spvdk Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 It's a bug in the current version of xBar. Check out the xBar thread for more info and a patch.
