Replacement phone cant write on card

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

I got a replacement SPV e200 from Orange.

The contacts for the charger/cradle were faulty, (after 6-7 months).

I have a KINGSTON 256MB Card.

It was working fine on the previous handset, (except the occasional lockups which is a known bug), on the new handset I can see it, but can't write, can't format through task manager either.

Has anyone else had a similar problem.

Orange dont have a clue, they posted a question on their technical department and I am waiting for an answer.

Thanks

If it's an SD card, it might be that the little tab has been set to write protect? (I would like to think that Orange would have suggested that, but you never know...)

Have you tried reformatting the card from the phone?

TaskManager from Binarys will do it.

Error while formatting the card!

Tried everything excepts formatting through a card reader, which is not handy right now. The card is quite new and still under warranty. Can it be corrupt so easily ?

I can write to the card through the card reader/writer but not through the phone.

any help will be appreciated
