Transfer E200 TomTom to M2000?

Just wanted to know if the TomTom I have for my E200 will work in my M2000 (expected tomorrow).

Does it just plug in and work or do I need to fork out for a completely new version?

From memory there are two separate versions sold for Smartphone and PPC. Same hardware should work, it's a different software version
