hi all,

i've got an spv c500 and would love to know if it's possible to save pages or immages etc from the web on this phone?

you know, on the computer you can save a whole page of something to read off line and i wondered if the same was possible using the c500.

i mean it would be pretty handy to be able to download an article and read offline rather than having to remain connected and run up bigger and bigger phone bills!

thanks for your help.

I think on Orange you only get billed by what you download - don't know about the other.

You can save gifs whilst on the net. This kind of stuff is stored on storage/windows/profiles/guest/temporary internet files/content.ies/31SENELP and the other three folders, C1QRGT6J, E5WV4XAT and GA1QBAR1.

This can be accessed by your file manager or multimedia album, using the "change folder" function.

I have done this but it's not very accurate. You have to go the page you want, end the connection, and then browse to temp internet folders and hope the picture is in there. It would be nice if there was an easier way.

Anyone used Opera mobile? What's that like?

yaeh i use opera, i really like it-although i've only got the free demo version which i think will expire in a month or so-but i like it, i just wish i could set it as the default browser rather than having to use explorer.

if you find a way-let me know!

cheers.
