Qtek 8020 no service available.

For some strange reason I have no service available and it doesn't say that it is trying to search for one either. However, my GPRS works properly.

I've tried to search for networks and tried setting it manual too yet no service available.

Anyone having had this problem ? The phone is but one week old :-(

Have you tried contacting your network incase there is a problem with your account?

Well no, as they're prolly closed at these hours. However, I tried a buddys SIM card in my phone and it wouldn't connect. With my SIM card in his phone it worked.

Apart from not knowing how long you have had the problem and also your location

it was just an option. Most networks operate 24hrs a day and can log any problems.

Another possibility is the phone has been blocked for some reason.

Hard reset did the trick.
