Guest peterson65 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 does anyone know if there has been any rom updates for the audiovox smt5600? or where to get them, audiovox web page has nothing and i dont know if the ones for c500 will work ok in the u.s with att wireless thanks
Guest xenophobe Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 The audiovox shipped with the newest OEM version of SP2003SE... Considering it has WMP10, and even the newest SP3 Rom update doesn't have it, so apparently the new SP3 update is just bug fixes. Why do you need to update your ROM? What is wrong with your current version?
Guest peterson65 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 there is a bug with the smt5600 that if you install over a cerrtain amount of apps and go into remove programs from within the phone the screen shows blank. and i am allways looking for the newest updates
Guest coyspiracy Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 bluetooth seems freezes up when 3 or more devices are detected..and there's no way to cancel it or turn off the phone, but to remove the battery and put it back on...sux.
Guest xenophobe Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 You could always flash your phone to the O2 C500 ROM, but you'll lose WMP 10, and the remove software screen problem won't be corrected... Call Audiovox and ask them if they plan on doing an update.
Guest McHale Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 the O2 ROM doesn't support 850 and if you use it on the Audiovox, you'll be left with 1800/1900. If Cingular doesn't pick it up, I don't see one happening. Also, let's hope the Cingular ROM will work on the AT&T version if it happens... -Mc
Guest DarkJedi Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 are there any differences between 850 and 1900 that are noticeable? as i have both 850 and 1900 cingular here, i've used 1900 phones before, but i don't think that cingular has implimented any 850 towers here in southern california yet. is there a way to tell the if ur on 850 or 1900 bands?
