Guest Cabana Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 ActiveSync only has checkboxes for Contacts and Inbox in the options, how do I get it to sync the Calendar and Tasks?
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Odd Have you tried deleting your phone Partnership and recreating it? Unplug your phone from the PC, click "File" then "Delete Partnership" (you might need to repeat that if you've got several partnerships going for your phone) Then to recreate the Partnership just plug the phone back in. You might need to go to "File" then "Get connected" but normally it finds the phone by itself. For peace of mind I suggest you copy your Conatcts and Inbox folders before you recreate the partnership, otherwise you might get loads of duplicates that AS can't automatically delete for you

More than once have I had everything deleted on the server because a client screwed up and simplified syncing by deleting everything.
Guest Cabana Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Thanks, I deleted the partnership and made a new one and now it syncs everything - worked perfectly the first time. It never synced events for birthdays before, so now that they show up as all day events is there a way to have it remind me 24 hours ahead?
Guest matt_test Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Hi, i've just got my qtek8020 and i am having trouble synching the outlook calendar as well... i've tried deleting the partnership several times, but each time the config screen pops up it always says "not installed" next the calendar. any ideas on what i might be doing wrong? thanks matt
Guest matt_test Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 I managed to figure this out in the end and i thought i'd share the solution with you all. The problem wasn't actually with the phone itself or any of the configuration of activesync. I performed a repair on microsoft office (or just on outlook), deleted my partnership and plugged in the phone again. This time all synchable items had a check box next to them! Unforutnately before i performed the repair on office i did a hard reset of the phone... this wiped all my vodafone settings! so now i have no access to internet, and none of nice things that came with the phone. does anyone know if it's possisble for vodafone to send me a operator message or something to give me all the settings back?!
Guest xenophobe Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Look in the settings repository: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showforum=138
