Hello there

Many thanks for your excellent assistance over the last few months with the E200 and C500. I only found out yesterday about the meet in birmingham. I hope to see you all next year. Anyway - to the point - I received my TomTom Mobile for smartphone today along with a 12 in 1 sim card reader. I bought a 128mg mini sd from my local camera shop. I have put the MMC card from TOMTOM into the card reader but it says that it needs formatting and if I go ahead will delete the contents. When I try my Orange MMC card in it - it allows me to view the files. Help! I do not know what to do and have been waiting so long for it.

Welcome to the site :lol:

Ideally you need a 256MB card as the 128MB will not give you much room to add extra applications etc on your phone.

Can you view the MMC card at all if you cancel the formatting rquest?

It's possible you have a problem with your card as you should not have a problem reading it at all.

It may be an idea to report the problem to TomTom and ask to swap the card for a replacement.

I tried it in a nokia 6600 and tried to launch it and came back with the message - memory card corrupted so there must be a problem with the card - I will contact Tomtom - I am awaiting the 1 gig memory card from Sandisk and will swap it over to this when available which I hope will be in the next 2 weeks so that I can have my sat nav, mp3 and Tomtom and bluetooth keyboard when the drivers are available and car kit to play the mp3 through my car speakers
