Guest dodding nonkey Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 My phone just decided that it no longer wants to be App unlocked! I turned it on as usual and when I came to enter the pin there was a warning which said, "no homescreen found...." unfortunately, as I wasn’t expecting it I had cleared it without reading it through. I entered the pin and the phone booted up, but had defaulted to a truly hidjous home screen. When I went to open a couple of programs it told me it wasn't able to because they weren't signed. Other symptoms - phone storage dropped to 30% (was 49%) available, BLAddFont disappeared as well as some other stuff Has my phone just gone and let me down for the first time by doing it's own little hard reset or is there something else going on? (Hopefully less catastrophic please!?) Any help before I do a hard reset and start again would be gratefully appreciated

Guest Disco Stu Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Another possible cause is low phone memory. Install everything you can onto the storage card and don't hoard loads of ringtones, skins, emails etc. You're right in thinking that you need to hard reset now to get rid of any corruption to the files / registry.
Guest dodding nonkey Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 (edited) Thanks for the replies, I don’t normally let the phone run itself flat, but I think it got a bit low when I was on a trip recently. Perhaps that’s the cause. I've done a full hard reset, but I can't get the thing app unlocked again! The web site identified on the unlocking thread goes through all the information and I get a screen saying that I'll get a message and the phone will be unlocked, but it doesn't. I've got good coverage and I've connected to the internet but it doesn’t work. Any ideas? Edited February 18, 2005 by dodding nonkey
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I think it's just the Orange computers. Other members have reported that eventually it will go through. You just have to keep trying.
