Guest sevin300zx Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 I'm not sure if this is even possible, but... When im on my smartphone using the web, especially at home, just to do something real quick while someone else is using my comp, i always think of how much faster it would go if it would use the cable internet instead of its 9600 baud modem (mpx220). Or even better if it could do Wifi... Is there a program that could be made to apply such modem speeds to a smartphone? Or is this more of an internal hardware incompatibility issue. I just thought it would be cool if you could speed up the internet on the phone. That to me, would be cool. Will.
Guest martin Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 You just need to set 'Internet Connection: Pass through' in the Settings-Data Connections menu on the smartphone and it will use the PC's link instead  [Edit] Post moved to Help and advice
Guest lighthouse82 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Yep, i use that to use internet, msn and stream audio over bluetooth while 2 floors away from my laptop. just get a BT dongle, connect over activesync and you're away!
