Guest Disco Stu Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Nestle go home  Things have never been the same since they moved into York and took over Rowntree Mackintosh.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Another reason for not wanting the EU  With sweets this famous it can only be a cost cutting excercise, now m&ms will take over. A sad day indeed
Guest philgriffiths Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 M&Ms? isnt that a department store?
Guest Chaser81 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 NoooooOOooooo! Smarties have the answer!! They cant do this!!
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 M&Ms? isnt that a department store? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No that's S&M. Now how will we spell out rude words with the lids? Not fair.
Guest TigerNet Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 No that's S&M. ...er...I think S&M is something a bit different... :( ...let's not go there... Cheers Nick
Guest mupwangle Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Forget smarties - WHY CHANGE FRUIT GUMS!!!!! THEY'RE NOT MEANT TO BE SOFT!!!!! (It's been about 15 years since but I'm still not over it)
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 And don't forget Opal Fruits, somehow a Starburst just isn't the same. Ah the world's going to the dogs.
Guest shack77 Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 It says mothers like the new packs - most mum's I speak to won't give their kids Smarties 'cause they go mental on the orange ones (a bit like me with the network provider of the same name), so as far as I can figure it's us adults who buy them. And I don't think they'll have the same quality if you can't pop the lid at someone when you're done. I vote to petition Nestle and let them know how much business they'll lose!

Guest amo Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Dont forget Juicy Fruits (im sure thats because it had a different meaning in the US). Im gonna miss the days of getting a tube of Smarties and downing the lot in one go! Wait, that was 10 years ago.... Still, next they'll be taking Transformers of the air and replacing it with cartoons about chasing cute cuddly imaginary animals

You'd get the same proportional experience that you did when you were ten. I'd definately buy that tube! Down that! Edited February 22, 2005 by shack77
Guest bbb678 Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I not the biggest smarties fan but while we are on the subject of candy . . . has anyone noticed that the pink sweettart flavor has changed? It has always been my favorite and about 2 years ago or so it tastes completely different

Guest Drewtech Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Nobody seems to have noticed that smarties have been available in little boxes for ages. I think these are great because there is just about a good mouthful in a single box. Where have my teeth gone? :-&
