Guest jvo8 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Hi, I've unlocked my SMT5600 using this site and after several months, everything was fine. I recently hard reset my phone and when it restarted, the "G" icon next to the batter level is no longer there. I'm still able to make / receive phone calls. What does this mean? Am I no longer on a GSM network if the icon is not there or just a fluke? I like it better when its not there. I just don't want to compromise voice call qaulity and service. Thanks.
Guest tudor Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 The "G" icon on the left of the battery meter shows the availability of GPRS connectivity. A small G above the signal meter shows an active GPRS connection.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 With the Audiovox rom the G by the signal bar will reappear and stay when you connect to GPRS. It will only dissappear when you reboot the phone. This ROM displays GPRS in a slightly different way to other phones.
