Hey all!

Being new to the M2000, I've been reading about it, doing a lot of googling etc. I came across a good page worth reading, as it has a great list of software worth checking out.

The page is actually on the XDA Developers website, a forum centred around hacking the rom. This particular page is about a Special Edition ROM, intended for Pocket PC 2002 unfortunately. Basically, it's a replacement ROM for the device that has a lot of common/useful programs in ROM space, so they don't take up space. Not much use to us 2003 owners, and I don't think they have any info about a 2003 equivalent.

Anyway, all the apps are free/shareware and they cover just about everything you could want to kit your phone out with. Network tools, task managers, replacement browsers, file explorers and so on.

Well worth checking out just for the software list alone. Most have links, though some are dead and you have to google for sources.

Anyway, here's the link.

I too found this and hoped they'd have created a newer version but unfortunately not. There are apparently rom kitchens around but it's risky business and as I've no major problems with my MDA III I prefer to await a T-Mobile rom update (the German update released recently is apparently quite good).

Good find and I shared your interest as I'm sure loads of others here will...
