Guest ArcticFox Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I have a few freeware games and programs that require activesync to install, is there any way of installing them without having activesync?
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 What about running the exe installer on your PC ? I think I'm right in saying that the installer will create a cab file on your PC for transferring to the phone when next connected. Find the cab - it will usually tell you the location when running - and transfer to phone with Bluetooth / card reader. What I don't know is if this will work unless you already have ActiveSync installed on your PC.
Guest Confucious Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 If you have the CAB file you can copy it to the phone with a cardreader and instal it from there but like Disco Stu says I don't know if the exe instal's will create the cab without ASync - onlly way to find out is to try I suppose. Ket us know how you get on. BTW why do you not have ActiveSync?b
