Guest daniel186 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 I have a 2month old Mpx220 from Cingular w/ 1.3 ROM. Just today, it decided to not charge nor connect to the computer. Checked charger, Did hard reset. No luck Anyone have this problem?? Moto is not open of course.. HELP!
Guest west Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 i have the same problem. problem is: the usb port do the loading, the mpx 220 do not not how its loading, over usb or normal charger. i have not find any option in my notebook bios to disable this, under windows in the system hardware manager i find that my motorola takes 500mah to load (under usb controller - usb root hub), but i cannot disable that. does anywhone knows that to disable it?
Guest west Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 don't know what we can make, i don't like to charge the mpx 220 every time i connect it to my notebook because the battery has a lifetime up to 1000 charges. so i buy a usb extension cable type a (male connector) on type a (female connector) and i cut the red cable (+5 voltage) : active sync don't connect, so i cut the black cable (mass) and reconnect the red cable: same effect, the mxp220 charge and connect. :D it must be a setting on the mpx or the pc (bios? or windows)
Guest nycxfool Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 i had the same problem before but i just removed and put back the battery and then it worked fine. i had this problem when i switched from the USB charger to the AC adapter. i think i have to take out and put back the battery everytime i use a different charger?
