Guest Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Sorry if this has already been answered. On my E200 I could use the camera to create video at 352x288 this was a nice size. It's nice I can now choose better video compression but on my C500 the max. video resolution is half at a very rubbish 176x144. Why? I am using the latest ROM (it came pre-installed with the phone). Is there any way to fix this? As 176x144 is dreadful. Sure it may not make any difference on the phone but when played back on a PC it is far to small.
Guest martin Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 I think 176x144 is standard on mobile phone video but it would have been nice to have an option on the MS smartphone for higher resolution. Maybe the compression takes more processing time ?
Guest Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 I think it's standard to but on the E200 which is older you could select the next one up. It only had the choice of JMPEG too which is less compressed than the new ones. Apart from the rubbish camera (which has always been rubbish) it's the only real thing that annoys me about it, especially as it's worse than it used to be. 176x144 is simply to small, sure you can set QT to 200% but then the quality is awful. The video output on the E200 was pretty good, now it's not.
