Guest PaulFromSkeg Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Hi all I have had an SPV for a week or so. I have been looking around, but have been unable to find a list of filetypes that work with my SPV C500 (with or without additional applications). e.g. WMA - Works with Media Player (included in Rom) etc Does anyone have a definitive list, or a link where i can find one. This would be useful to be able to know what will and will not work with my new phone, as I have some media files that I do not know which program works with. Thanks for your help Paul
Guest martin Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Welcome Paul :( If you go to Multimedia Album-Options-Association, it will show you a list of supported files. Note that the C500 is automatically setup to use PV Player for MP4/3GP files so these will show as unticked in Multimedia Album. TBH the best idea is to install Betaplayer 0.5 - I'm sure you'll like this application  http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/ (look for the smartphone exe file and install from PC) Betaplayer will also give a list of supported formats in the it's file association menu.
Guest PaulFromSkeg Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Thanks for your help with this. Does anyone have a full list of other filetypes working with the C500, e.g. doc files, tif pictures etc. I think this woul be great help to all new smartphone users to have the full list in one place... Thanks again Pau
Guest martin Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 You can find a list of file extensions using the registry editor. Look under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT There is no .doc or .tif :( These extensions would be added by software like ClearView from http://www.westtek.com/smartphone/ or Repligo. Maybe we could get a list together though, and add it to our FAQ section
