Hi all

Am still waiting on the arrival of my M2000 so whilst I can only dream of the gadget I am spending the time thinking of things I want to do to it. At present I have a SE P900 and have a dual SIM card thing very tightly squeezed into it beneath the battery. I have also been reading the other threads relating to reset problems when changing the battery or SIM card. Therefore is a dual SIM card adaptor possible with the M2000 (not having one means I cant try it out)?

If it is possible any ideas where I can get one?

I'm faily sure one hasn't been brought out. Maybe an XDAII one might work if one of those exists.

you should be aware though. the M2000 does NOT support line2 so i'm not sure there would be any point in dual sim

I don't think they work like that. They just provide a means of holding two sims and a switch between them, saving you having to dismantle your phone to switch. And as you can't really power of the pocket pc, things would get a little tricky. You'd have to switch then hit reset to change between them. Risky.

It would automatically reset since you have to take the battery out - which is perfectly fine as long as ur backup battery is charged - you won't lose a thing. Resetting is unfortunatly often needed if you need to reclaim RAM. and if you have contacts + calendar hard storage enabled, whenever you reset it will automatically backup these databases when u turn it back on. Its just like turning a smartphone off and on.

Removing the battery will not perform a hard reset - at least it never has for me.

I don't know if it's true or not, but the T-Mobile customer services guy I spoke to when I was asking for my network unlock code suggested that the dual sim holder for the P910i should work with the BlueAngel. I haven't bothered trying it, so I can't confirm.

Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but, the dual sim holder would negate the need to take the battery out. I don't think any phone is going to handle a hot-swap of a sim card. You might be able to do it in airplane mode with the HTC tho. Doubt it, tho, the phone won't boot without it. (at least my old SPV won't)

I read a little about these things a while back the one I saw had you cutting your sim in half with a knife, sticking it in some thin cradle, then forcing the battery on on top of it all with a switch hanging out. I don't know if I'd be into doing that with my phone, it still has that "new-electronics" smell!
