Guest pizdyetz77 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Hello all, My E200 car charger fits in my M2000. Not quite as easy as that though. When I fit it in my E200 it has always gone in 'back-to-front' with the arrow facing away from you. When fitting into the M2000, the arrow faces towards you. Now, the mains chargers for both only fit in their intended device so I'm worried that the 3rd party car charger is just cheap and not made to tolerances that will prevent improper use. Here's the specs on the mains chargers. Perhaps someone in the electronic know will be able to tell from this whether the car charger is compatible. E200 - Output 5v _ 1.0A MAX M2000 - Output 5v _ 2A I suppose what I'm asking is whether the car charger will be improperly regulated for the M200 and whether it will fry it. I can only see that the E200 charger delivers less current (and I assume that the car charger will therefore do the same). Does this mean it's safe to use? Please help as I'm not willing to 'experiment' with my shiny new toy. Thanks in advance, GH
Guest pizdyetz77 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Just a quick update with some more info: E200 battery is rated as follows - 3.7VDC 1000mAh M2000 - 3.7VDC 1490mAh Does that give anyone any better an idea?
Guest Wozbacca Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 you sure the charger fits? i have a usb charger thing that goes into the fag lighter, but the connection to the phone is slightly different
Guest pizdyetz77 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Well it seems to fit. No forcing or anything. lt obviously looks the part too. I'm hoping we can base a decision on the specs of the chargers. Seems to me that the E200 charger only puts out less current, suggesting that it'll do the job, only more slowly. But then I'm no electrical engineer, am I?
