i just got my mpx220, and i think it's awesome so far. i just have one thing that i can't quite figure out right now. i've made some ringtones and moved them over to the \storage\application data\sounds\ folder and that works fine. but what i want to know is if there is a way to make a file you move over an alert (for incoming text msgs, alarm, etc...), and if so, how do you do it?

i've looked all over the boards and couldn't find anything about this. hope one of you guys knows the answer.

thanks!

Isn't it under the sound options? I could have sworn it was.

well, if you go to settings/sounds then you can change what alert is played for receiving a txt msg, but those tones aren't there. they are listed for the regular ringtone, but for any of the others, (like reminders, and alarms and everthing else) they are not listed.

i figured it out!

i was converting my mp3s to wma's due to the sound issue, but alerts can't be wma's. i made one of them a wav and presto . . . success.

hope this helps anyone that didn't know how to do this before.
