cant delete a file

I put an mp3 file of welcome to the jungle on my mpx200 thinking I'd be able to use it as a ringtone, i couldn't. Now i can't delete the damned thing. Anyone know why i can't delete it? I saved it to the windows folder with the rest of the ringtones

using smart explorer on your phone select the file then go to file>properties then make sure that "read-only" does not have check.

It seems to have disappeared now, which is strange because it definatly said that tehre was an error deleting the file last time i clicked on delete. I remember looking att he properties and readonly was not checked. Anyway, how can i get songs as ringtones? what format must they be in to work, and is there a specific folder they need to be in?
