Why cann't I contact my phone with infrared to a Nokia 6100.

When I try to send something to a Nokia 6100 it fails always. I have installed smart explorer but also with that it don't work to send something over with infrared. What I'll try it always can't get contact. (also to other phones)

Does anybody know what the problem can be?

And after my hardreset is the language from the T9 changed, where can I change it? (I'm sorry for this maybe dumb question  )

I have both a Nokia 6100 and SPV C500 actually - and Nokia 6100 cannot revieve anything som the C500 - only opposite.

This is due the Nokia IRda-protocol, which is very limited.

There has been speculations that this is due to Nokia agreements with large tele companies - if you can't send pictures and ringtones by IR and/or BT, then the only way is MMS.

Whether these rumors are right or not (I believe they are due several reasons), the situation is that even v-cards may fail!!

Nokia 6100 has no problems sending to the C500 (vcards and calendar memos) but vice versa is not possible without using a PC in between.

If you can't send a v-card FROM you Nokia 6100 TO your SPV C500, then there's propably something wrong with the Nokia 6100's IR unit...
