o2 PAYG net connection

Just switched to o2 after getting me free sims through the post the ones where u get 300 txts and 1mb gprs a month,and am trying to set up mobile web,i can access wap pages but not proper webpages just nothing happens when i try and connect,ive heard that o2 only allow wap on there PAYG plan is this true? ,or as anyone got theres on o2 PAYG without any problems,If so could u please post the settings up,Thanks in advance

You can get access to HTML pages if you change the proxy settings.

Proxy port 9201=WML pages and port 8080=HTML pages (on the O2 network)

Just go to Settings-Data Connections, Menu-Edit connections and amend the proxy settings to 193.113.200.195:8080, Type=HTTP

great thanks but by any chance do you know how to change proxy settings on the ppc platform as im using an imate jam and have had a look but cant seem to find anything related to proxy settings

Hi

I've been searching for information on connecting the i-mate JAM to the Internet via GPRS for months now.

I got the phone 3 months ago and I am using a PAYG sim. I have never been able to get onto the internet with the phone.

I have searched high and low all over the internet but there are so many different answers and I cannot get any to work.

Can anyone help with the settings for an I-MATE JAM running Windows 2003?

Thi sdoesnt apply to me any more. Dont get the free 1mb of gprs. Has this applied to you???
