Guest tha_neo Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I saw some batteries on ebay, Lithium LONG LIFE Battery. It says that they should have a standby time on 200 h. anyone knows if they´re better than the original that we get? the one with 820mAh. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5753546767&rd=1
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Don't believe everything you read, they do not state the important information like the mAh capacity, this is the vital thing you need to know. Great for when you are in a meeting, at weddings, sporting events, concerts, or movies! What has this got to do with the battery?? Integrated Microchip to Prevent Overcharging and Increases Battery Life! All Li-ion batteries have overcharging circuitry High Capacity A stock cells - NO MEMORY EFFECT!Another mistake, Li-ion batteries have a much less pronounced memory effect than ni-cad and ni-mh but it's still there. These are NOT refurbished or used batteries! BRAND NEW!! You cannot refurbish Li-ion batteries
Guest tha_neo Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Oh I see! Thanks awarner:D I knew you would answer this  Have you ever tried these?
Guest jklc Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Its always best to stick with original stuff. Don't want any of them dodgy exploding batteries now do you? I just got my MPX200 the other day and upgraded it to wm2003. I'm happy with the 9 hours+ of continuous mp3 playback I got from a quick stress test :( I have yet to yak on for hours to people on it to test the talk time though
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Out of curiosity ask the seller what the mAh is of the battery. If you look after the battery you will get good service and remember above all Never try and discharge the batery unless you want to damage it.
Guest tha_neo Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 They wrote: you can use your cover. the original charger works with this battery. it is a 750 mah battery so it is as thick as the original battery. alicia This is less than the orginal standard battery... hmmmmm Awarner, do you know the orginal name of the battery that have more than 820 mAh.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 If their battery is only 750 MAh then there will be no change apart from maybe an extended life if it is looked after correctly but that applieas to any battery. Try this 1100mAh battery http://factorydirectcellular.com/home/motorola/mpx200.htm This was posted about a while ago here.
Guest flyaman Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Houa 1100 Mha! Great, but... They don't explode I wish? :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Not if they are designed properly unlike certain nokia batteries.
