ok... can anyone explain this -

i got my bill today, for the 14th feb to 15th march, or woteva the time period the current bill is, and, usually, i pay £4 a month for orange's 3mb world access pack, supposedly giving me 3mb of data inclusive with that, and that's never been a problem...

but today, on my bill it says i've used 0.018mb of inclusive data, and 2.68mb of non-inclusive data :/ how the hell does that work? they're trying to charge me £30 for that 2.68mb of data, when i should have 3mb included, in addition - i've barely even used gprs, as my joystick is fairly broke, and its next to impossible to move down or right - making sites hard to use,

i just wondered if anyone else has had this "mystery" gprs that's non-inclusive? :/ and what it could be about?

i'm gonna ring CS 2moro and see if they can clarify...

Exactly the same thing happened to me today mate - I'm normally very careful about how much data I use and not go over the 3Mb limit by much.

Bill arrives - been charged £30+VAT for my data this month.

Spoke to a nice girl in OCS - it appears that the Orange World Access 3 pack has been discontinued (thanks for letting us know). I explained the situation and got her to look over my past bills so she could see the allowance had been there on all my previous bills.

She was trying to get it re-instated as an 'archival' promotion but had to speak to a supervisor - I just said that it'd just be easier to change me to the current Orange World 4 pack - £4 for 4Mb/month - no texts or picture messages, but OK for mail and WAP.

I've had a similar problem with the bill I received yesterday from O.

I had to remove my data allowance due to limited funds, which has meant I've been extremely selective about how and when I use GPRS. Anyway, my bill showed a total data use of 0.687Mb over the month. The cost was £6.87!!!! Thats a whopping £10/Mb!!!!!

OCS were apologetic, explaining the data package I'd cancelled had recently been discontinued and, somehow, I'd defaulted to this tariff. I queried this because I'd stopped the data package 3 months ago. They couldn't explain why I'd been charged £10/Mb and as far as I know, this 'tariff' doesn't exist.

They were happy to credit me the overcharged amount on my NEXT bill but are insiting I've got to pay the current bill as it stands. I've refused to do that (funds are VERY limited) and we'll see what happens when I send them the revised amount (no DD either you see).

Oh, to be Orange.....

Welcome to the world of invoices and credit notes!

OCS were fair enought to give me the Orange Open World 4 pack free of charge for the first month - so maybe worth trying that one with them?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Orange also gave me a free month of access. However, they also put a "non direct debit" charge on my bill, even though I pay by DD.

I'm looking to leave Orange - is there anything they've done recently that will allow me to say, "you've broken your contract" and leave, like O2 did last year?
